The story begins...May 1981 Vampires were the last thing that eighteen-year-old Wade and his two
friends expected when they went camping in the Oregon woods. After
killing his friends, Cassandra brought Wade into her world of sensuality
and death. The only one who might keep Wade from becoming a vampire is
Donovan, whom Cassandra has waited 100 years to destroy. Against her will, Mignon’s father Maximilien made her a vampire,
then arranged her marriage to a cruel and abusive vampire, Stefan, who
forced her to kill two mothers and steal their babies to raise as her
own. With Donovan’s help, Mignon is determined to escape and to save
her children from being forced to become the thing she despises the
most, a vampire. The story continues...May 1999 For years, Mignon, now called Prane, and her children have remained safely hidden from
Stefan. Then Prane witnesses a murder. Wade, now a police
officer, and Donovan try to protect her and her children from becoming
pawns in a vicious game of murder for hire and blackmail. Stefan is once again searching for his son with a plan that just may reveal where
Janos and Prane are hiding, and Cassandra returns to extract her final revenge on Donovan. Holding him a helpless prisoner, she tries to use him as part of insane plot to take control of all the vampires. Only Wade has a chance to save Donovan, if he has the courage to once again step into the vampire’s lair. A lovers tryst between Prane and Wade turns deadly when Stefan finds
Prane. After bringing Wade across as a vampire, Stefan uses Wade’s
love for Prane to force his cooperation in bring to completion a plot
that was begun years ago. Donovan and Prane’s son, Janos, hunt them,
working against the time when Stefan no longer needs Wade and will kill
them both.
